Shave and haircut

I got a haircut yesterday. I was in desperate need. I went to David’s Barbershop. It was three guys of various ages in a typical barbershop. When we came in there was one guy getting cut by the youngest guy (21?). There was another guy hanging out talking about the best fishing spots in the area. “The lake is cold as Hell. The trout love it, but the catfish are pissed.”

When I sat down the guy asked me how long I wanted my hair. I told him not too long, but not too short. “Medium haircut,” he said, and set to work. No shampoo, just a spray bottle for the top. The whole thing took about fifteen minutes. Beki sat and read a magazine; the barbers never acknowledged her presence. When I was almost done another customer came in with his girlfriend and she also read a magazine, unnoticed.

I did manage to find out about a couple good lakes in the area. Next month, when it’s warm enough to swim, we’ll have to go find them.
